January 5-12, 2019 the First Nations Dialogues, New York

Coinciding with the annual conference of the Association of Performing Arts Professionals https://www.apap365.org/ — which draws thousands of visitors from around the world — this Festival  is presented in partnership with 13 festivals and organizations, including American Realness, the Lenape Center, the American Indian Community House and Performance Space New York.

The group of organizers of the Dialogues plans an ambitious new pilot program, the Global First Nations Performance Network, which will be in development during this year’s Dialogues. (Planning sessions are closed to the public.) The envisioned network will include 15 institutions from Canada, Australia and the United States — with the potential to expand to other countries — all dedicated to commissioning and presenting works by Indigenous artists.

The P2P Indigenous hopes that indigenous people from Russia and other countries will join the network.

V Kontakte Irkutsk, August 17, 2017

I advise all my friends and acquaintances not to miss the final meeting with our blood brothers, the North American Indians from the Comanche, Kiowa, Arapaho, Cheyeni in the V. Bronstein Gallery (Oktyabrskaya Revolutsii Str., 3) beginning at 13.00. There will be a master class on painting from Brent Lörnit of Oklahoma and watercolors from Vlad Urbachanov from Irkutsk. We will also tell you that Buryats and Indians learned about each other during the week-long trip Irkutsk - Ust-Orda - Olkhon - Kurumkan - Ulan-Ude - Irkutsk. During this time we held master classes in drawing in Irkutsk and Olkhon, creative meetings with Steppe tunes, the Baikal Theater, the Union of Buryat artists, gave a concert at Olkhon and in distant Kurumkan together with Chingis Radnaev. We are waiting for everyone, the entrance is free.
